ESP Capitel románico (s. XI) de excelenta factura localizado en el arco del triunfo de la iglesia del Monasterio de Santa Marta de Tera, Zamora (Castilla y León, España). Representa el tema de la Ascensión del Alma, la cual está representada como uan figura humana desnuda (con rasgos que recuerdan a los kouroi arcaicos), rodeada por una mandorla mística y sostenida por dos ángeles. Dos veces al año, durante lso equinoccios, un haz de luz solar ilumina directamente este capitel.
ENG Romanesque capital (11th century) of excellent craftsmanship located in the triumphal arch of the church of the Monastery of Santa Marta de Tera, Zamora (Castile and León, Spain). It depicts the Ascension of the Soul, represented as a naked human figure (with features reminiscent of archaic kouroi), surrounded by a mystical mandorla and supported by two angels. Twice a year, during the equinoxes, a beam of sunlight directly illuminates this capital.
